Hummer, The Pretty Vagues, Hello Mabel and Arms & Hearts at F2c Warrington - Gig Review

Arms & Hearts is a solo acoustic singer songwriter. The genre is very much pop punk. His voice has an emotional quality that brings life to his darker material and lends depth to his performance. Strongly played and with strong songs.

He has an album launch at the Castle in Manchester on 31 October 2021:

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Hello Mabel. Describing themselves as acoustic folky punk they forget to add with flawless performances, great songs and wondrous harmonies. Its minimal stuff with an amplified acoustic guitar (or occasionally two) that gets surrounded by floating vocals that are just excellent.

The Pretty Vague are a more direct assault on the musical senses, its loud, fast and powerful sounding. The band cover a louder wilder end of the punk spectrum than most and capable of expressing real anger through music and are razor sharp in its delivery.

We’ve covered Hummer at Last Stop Sounds more than most bands which gives credence to our claim that they are on of the hardest working bands on the punk circuit. Over the years we’ve seen them develop from a more skate punk or pop punk sound to a brasher, faster and heavier but still melodic sound.
